Easter totally snuck up on me this year. I don't know what happened. It was probably the lamest thing ever. The worst part was that while we scrambled around at the last minute to get small baskets together, we didn't hide eggs. We have a tradition that the Easter Bunny hides eggs around the house or yard (depending on weather). So when the kids wake up they start off with a hunt provided by the easter bunny. I didn't realize what a big deal that was until elise woke up and started looking around for the eggs from the easter bunny. I could've cried. I think i'm going to mail her a letter from the easter bunny and tell her that he's going to be dropping off her easter eggs a little late. Maybe lame, but it was so pitiful. I'm hoping she's young enough that "better late than never" will really work.
Your eggs look wonderful, by the way. Hanna and NIkki did a GREAT job!
Poor Elise! Hannah loves getting anything in the mail, so that sounds like a good idea to me. It's surprising how forgiving and understanding kids can be.
