For our Christmas cookies this year I found this idea in a magazine. Of course, their picture looked a lot better, but I bet they didn't have a 3- and 5-year-old helping out. The girls and I had a lot of fun making this. The cookie shapes come out like puzzle pieces.

that is a FABULOUS idea. you'll have to post the recipe for that or email it to me. we usually do the sugar cookies to paint, too, but the kids wear out before we can paint them all and then we have more cookies than any of us want to eat!
This was the first time I ever considered just buying the cookie dough rather than making it, and it was so EASY! Plus, we didn't have hundreds of cookies laying around for me to eat. Even if we give them to the neighbors, there are still usually too many left for me. I'll email the instructions to you.
